Start learning Spanish efficiently

  • Do you want to learn Spanish but don't know how to start?

The first thing you need to do is to set a goal. Why do you want to learn Spanish? Do you want to travel to a Spanish-speaking country? Or maybe you want to impress your Spanish-speaking friends? Whatever your reason, make sure it's clear in your mind. How are you going to reach your goal if you don't even know what the goal is?

The next step is to start organizing a structure. You need to learn to speak in present, past and future at least. Identify that and start with the present simple tense (routines, facts or habits we always do).

Create a vocabulary list

The next step is to create a vocabulary list. You can use a dictionary, a textbook, or any other resource that you have (like my Spanish courses). Write down the words you want to learn on a piece of paper a notebook or even your phone. I recommend downloading AnkiDroid, an excellent app where you can make your own flashcards.

Now, it's time to start memorizing those words. But wait, don't just repeat them mindlessly. That's not going to help you retain them for long. Instead, use mnemonics.

What do mnemonics mean?

Mnemonics are memory aids that help you remember things. For example, let's say you want to learn the word "libro", which means "book" in Spanish. You can create a visual association by imagining a book with a big "L" on the cover.

Words in Spanish have a pattern - You already know hundreds of words in Spanish!

One of the best things about learning Spanish from English is that there are hundreds of words you already know. If you already speak English, you're in luck because there are many words in Spanish that have a similar spelling and meaning in English too.

But how can you know which they are?

I've made a video talking about this. Here it is, watch it and don't forget to subscribe to my Spanish language channel to learn more tips:

Practice, practice and don't give up!

Finally, immerse yourself in the language. Watch Spanish movies, listen to Spanish music, and try to speak Spanish as much as possible. The more you expose yourself to the language, the faster you'll learn.

In my courses, I apply all these methods. You don't need to worry about how to start because I provide the structure for you so you can talk and create your sentences in the first class!. Of course, I won't teach you all the words in Spanish but if you know how to put a sentence together, you can just look up the word in Spanish that you don't know and make your sentence with LOGIC!.

We also talk about fun topics and useful vocabulary so you can retain everything you have been learning. The cool part is that you speak with native Spanish professional teachers!

Join the courses I offer and have fun while you learn!
