This option is closest to English and is common in formal or written situations.

2. Quería saber si… (the MOST natural option)
This is the expression we use most in real life, especially in Mexico.
I was wondering if you have time today.→ Quería saber si tienes tiempo hoy.
I was wondering if this class is online.→ Quería saber si esta clase es en línea.
If your goal is to sound natural, this is the one to use.
3. Tenía la duda de si… (slightly more formal)
Perfect for professional emails or administrative contexts.
I was wondering if this includes materials. → Tenía la duda de si esto incluye materiales.

What we usually DON’T say
